Goji Berry Stem Cells

Goji berries have long been known as a superfood due to their high antioxidant capacity and nutritive properties. In our revitalizing cream, we utilize a plant stem cell culture of goji berry seedlings. This ingredient has been shown to increase the proteins collagen and elastin which are found in the dermis and play a big role in skin elasticity and density.

Palmitoyl Glycine

Naturally found in the skin and brain, palmitoyl glycine is an amino acid based molecule that helps fight the signs of aging caused by inflammation. Palmitoyl glycine is shown to reduce the production of inflammatory protein Interleukin-6 as well as the enzyme collagenase which is capable of breaking collagen’s peptide bonds. The reduction of these molecules result in less inflammation and increased firmness in the skin. 

Glycogen

This molecule can be found in many plants and animals, the glycogen used in our cream is derived from sweet corn.

As one of our body’s primary sources of stored energy, glycogen provides fuel to the cells when we need a quick boost. In our skin glycogen is produced in response to a stresser, like UV exposure, to provide the energy needed to help build up our extracellular matrix. This boost in energy promotes collagen and hyaluronic acid production increasing moisture retention while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Embelia Extract

Wild harvested in Madagascar, the extract from the leaves of the Embelia concinna plant can help you to find relief from skin irritants. Embelia extract has been shown to increase Loricrin and Involucrin, two of the proteins that make up the cornified envelope which provides your skin with a protective barrier against the environment. It has also been proven to prevent inflammation by reducing the release of histamines and certain proinflammatory mediators. Combined these functions of embelia extract help to increase your skin’s tolerance of environmental stressors providing relief for irritated skin.

Beetroot Extract Blend

The beetroot extract that we use in Goji & Glycine Revitalizing Cream is blended with fructooligosaccharides, a prebiotic plant sugar. This synergistic blend provides moisturization to the skin and activates the vitamin D receptor (VDR), leading to an increased production of vitamin D. Insufficient vitamin D is associated with inflammation and a reduced ability for cell repair which can both lead to skin aging.
